Beautiful antique display cabinet in tortoiseshell veneer.
From the prestigious Antwerp furniture studio Maison Franck.
Father Alexander Franck started his business at the end of the 19th century and under the leadership of his sons Charles and Frans, the furniture workshop grew into one of the most prestigious workshops of his time in the first half of the 20th century. Well-to-do families at home and abroad ordered cabinets, tables, mirrors and cabinets from Maison Franck.
This cabinet is completely covered with veneer made of tortoiseshell shell.
The glass is still rolled by hand and the original key is present.
Both the display case part and the doors at the bottom can be locked with this.
The cabinet itself is in very good condition.
The tortoiseshell veneer has a small piece here and there that is missing.
At the front of the bottom right door, a larger piece of veneer is missing.
